Postcard from Muscat, Oman, poolside at The Chedi

I’m spoiling you today with a touch of luxury from The Chedi in Muscat, Oman. Those unaware of this hotel, it is in the high end of the five star hotel market.

The long pool displayed below is a 103 metre stretch of liquid relaxation, perfect for getting a little exercise or just chilling. Oman is comfortably warm even in early February, in fact it is one of the best times to visit as the country sizzles during the summer months as the mercury rising to uncomfortable levels.

Long pool for long relaxation

This is one of a number of pools including a beachside one, which was in fact my favourite, there are also fantastic spa facilities and as you might expect fine dining restaurants. The jacuzzi in the rooms also has to be seen to be believed.

Just screaming to be dived into

Sipping mojitos or another favourite cocktail by the poolside is a great way to end the day after bargain hunting in the souks, visiting the Grand Mosque or at this time of year maybe the Muscat Festival. Just choose your pool and tipple, it always felt like happy hour at the impressive Chedi.

We too spent a romantic weekend at the Chedi in Muscat. Divine !!! At the seafood restaurant right on the beach i had a very fresh delicious Omai lobster that was to die for and the next night we dined in the main dining room that was as excpetional. Relaxed with an after dinner drink in the piano bar. Suite was wonderful just steps away from the”long pool.” Can’t wait to go back with friends during Opera season this Fall. The place is simply heaven!

A touch of luxury looks heavenly. Wouldn’t mind sinking in to one of those pools right about now.
