Thanksgiving – Reasons to be Thankful Part Three

It’s a little sad that here in the United Kingdom we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving; one of the most important holidays of our friends across the pond. I always enjoy hearing how they are planning to celebrate via social media channels.

Large family gatherings, eating and drinking far too much, crashing in front of the television, over fed to watch the football. Some will have risked the holiday rush and travelled some distance to share the day with family or friends. Thankful that they are always there for each other.

We may not celebrate the traditional thanksgiving festival, but since starting this site a couple of years ago, it’s become a tradition to produce a thanksgiving post. Sharing a few images which evoke feelings of gratitude, a photo essay of reasons to be thankful from the previous year, and life in general. It’s a cool new media, tradition and one I fully intend to continue with, celebrating thanksgiving in My own way.

Thankful for the magic of early mornings:

It relaxes me just looking at this

but equally appreciative of the beauty of late evenings:

A full moon is often just as enchanting, in this shot of the same jetty, even more so.

but always appreciate the pristine, and often stark beauty of the wilderness:

This is a beautiful tradition! I’m celebrating Thanksgiving with my family for the first time in two years and am incredibly grateful for the travel experiences I’ve enjoyed in the interim. Our world is an amazing place!
